Counseling Services

The Counseling Center helps students with their personal concerns so that they can meet the daily challenges of college life.  Staffed by an experienced psychotherapist, the center is open to all HT students Monday through Friday.  The counseling center is housed in the Campus Support Programs suite located in Room 101 in the lower level of the Jackson-Moody Building.

To Make an Appointment

You may call 512.505.3044 or walk into the Campus Support Programs Suite between 8:00am and 4:00pm to schedule your first initial consultation.  You will be asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time in order to complete some initial paperwork.  If you do not allow for this extra time, you will be rescheduled!  If you are not sure you want to come in and see the counselor, try calling first to discuss your options.

Counseling Services Pledge to You

The university counselor pledges to treat you with dignity and respect and to provide you with competent and compassionate therapeutic services.  It is the commitment of the university counselor to promote and affirm diversity in its broadest sense.  It is the mission of Campus Support Programs and the university counselor to ensure that people of every background   will be able to use our services with an expectation of respectful treatment.
